Girl Talk: Worship Beyond Fasting
Join us for an open and supportive Girl Talk for women ages 21+, centered around the topic “Worship Beyond Fasting.”
This session will explore common questions around periods and fasting in Ramadan, making up missed days, and when women are exempt from fasting. We’ll also discuss meaningful acts of worship encouraged during menstruation and address the guilt many women feel—especially during the last ten nights—by reframing reward through Allah’s mercy and wisdom.
This discussion will be led by Amina Rodriguez, a student of Islamic knowledge with a BA in Islamic Studies (Islamic Online University), an Associate degree in Islamic Education from the Islamic University of Spain Al-Andalusia, and a Murshida degree currently in progress. She is a certified Qur’an teacher, holds ijazah in 40 Hadith an-Nawawi and other hadith collections, and brings both scholarly grounding and compassionate insight to women’s learning spaces.
